Barry Goodman
Co-Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Trading of the Adviser
Barry Goodman joined Millburn in 1982 and serves as a member of Millburn's Investment and Management Committees. During his tenure at Millburn, he has played an integral role in various strategic initiatives across trading, research and business development. Before joining Millburn, Barry was employed by E.F. Hutton & Co.
Barry received a BA in economics from Harpur College of the State University of New York in 1979, graduating magna cum laude.
Grant N. Smith
Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Adviser
Grant N. Smith joined Millburn in 1975 and serves as a member of Millburn's Investment and Management Committees. During his tenure at Millburn, he led the design and implementation of the research department's quantitative trading strategies, as well as the firm's computer infrastructure.
Grant received a SB in computer science and finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1974 and an SM in computer science and finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1975.
Harvey Beker
Chairman of the Adviser
Harvey Beker joined Millburn in 1978 and serves as a member of Millburn's Investment Committee. During his tenure at Millburn, he has been instrumental in the development of the firm's research, trading and operations capabilities. Before joining Millburn, Harvey was employed by Loeb Rhoades, Inc. and Clayton Brokerage Co. of St. Louis.
Harvey received a BA in economics from New York University in 1974 and an MBA in finance from New York University in 1975.
Michael Soss, PhD
Chief Investment Officer of the Adviser
Michael Soss joined Millburn in 2022 and serves as a member of Millburn's Investment and Management Committees. During his tenure at Millburn, he has assumed responsibility for management of the firm's research functions, including system design, modeling, data management and trade execution. Before joining Millburn, Michael was employed by Point72 Asset Management, J.P. Morgan, SECOR Asset Management, and Goldman Sachs.
Michael received an AB in mathematics from Harvard University in 1996, an MSc in computer science from McGill University in 1998, and a PhD in computer science from McGill University in 2001.
Manu Kambhampati
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Director of Trading of the Adviser
Manu Kambhampati joined Millburn in 2007 and serves as a member of Millburn's Investment and Management Committees. During his tenure at Millburn, he has assumed responsibility for the technology infrastructure of the firm, including the development and maintenance of applications and hardware utilized for research and trading activities. Before joining Millburn, Manu was employed by Verizon.
Manu received a BE in computer engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1994, an MSE in computer and information science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999, and an executive master's in technology management from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002.
Martin Lindberg
Director, Head of Investment Solutions of the Adviser
Martin Lindberg joined Millburn in 2000 and serves as a member of Millburn’s Investment Committee. During his tenure at Millburn, he was a senior member of the trading department and developed trading and execution strategies before joining the research team. In his current capacity, he leads strategy development, equity research and serves as a liaison between the research and business development departments. Before joining Millburn, Martin was employed by FrontSoft HB.
Martin received an MSc in industrial engineering and computer science from Linköping Institute of Technology in 1999 and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2000.
Irina Bogacheva
Director, Head of Research of the Adviser
Irina Bogacheva joined Millburn in 2023 and serves as a member of Millburn’s Investment Committee while also chairing the Research Committee. During her tenure at Millburn, she assumed the lead role in designing and implementing the firm’s quantitative strategies. Before joining Millburn, Irina was employed by Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions, QS Investors, Deutsche Asset Management, and Goldman Sachs, amongst others. She is an honorary board member of the Society of Quantitative Analysts.
Irina received an MSc in mathematics from Moscow State University (Lomonosov) in 1988, an MA in economics from New Economic School in Moscow in 1993, and an MBA with a concentration in analytic finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1998, where she also completed coursework in pursuit of a PhD in Finance. She is an adjunct professor of mathematics in the finance program at Columbia University.
